During surgery, your doctor makes a small corneal incision and uses an injector to insert the folded ICL lens into the eye. 

The lens unfolds and is positioned between the natural lens and iris.

The incision is self-sealing — no stitches needed. 

The implanted ICL lens becomes a permanent part of your eye’s optical system — yet it can be removed or replaced later if needed (for example, if your prescription changes or you require cataract surgery)
